APRA releases its 2021 Year in Review

APRA 2021 Year In Review cover

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has released its 2021 Year in Review. Following a second successive year impacted by COVID-19, the publication outlines how APRA continued responding to the pandemic, while pushing ahead with important reforms aimed at reinforcing the stability of the Australian financial system.

The 2021 Year in Review provides APRA’s view on the broader financial environment and outlines how APRA delivered on the priorities and objectives set out in its Corporate Plan across the banking, insurance and superannuation industries. It also contains metrics for APRA-regulated industries, including analysis of industry composition, profitability and financial strength.

The 2021 Year in Review document supplements APRA’s Annual Report and Financial Statements, which are submitted to the Australian Government after the end of each financial year (to June 30).
