Annual general insurance institution-level statistics

APRA publishes annual general insurance institution-level statistics for general insurers (level 1), general insurance groups (level 2) and Lloyd’s Australia. These statistics relate to financial performance, position and capital adequacy.

The annual general insurance institution-level statistics includes financial year-end information at an individual insurer and insurance group level as well as Lloyd’s Australia. Statistics relate to financial performance, position and capital adequacy.

The database presents the annual statistics in a database format. 

Back series data is available from March 2005 for level 1 insurers and from December 2011 for level 2 insurers. Data for Lloyd’s Australia is available from December 2003. Specifically, Lloyd’s class of business data is presented on a new basis from 2019 onwards, and on an old basis from 2003 to 2019.
